José Carlos Bouso, PhD in Pharmacology and scientific director of ICEERS, as well as scientific director of the collection and prologue writer for two of the books, will participate as a speaker. Bouso has been a pioneer and researcher in the medicinal use of psychoactive substances of plant origin, such as cannabis, ayahuasca and ibogaine. He has also studied the therapeutic effects of psychedelic drugs such as MDMA (ecstasy) and psilocybin (hallucinogenic mushrooms) to treat disorders such as post-traumatic stress disorder and depression.
